Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs):
You have heard probably read about about the benefits of Green building with Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) walls. ICF's are proven energy efficient products that have been well documneted to significantly reduce heating and cooling loads in buildings. These products are typically foam stay-in-place concrete forms specified for projects designed to provide high performance and quite building envelope walls. Some of the types we have worked with include, Faswall, Durisol, Fox Block, and Rastra. In our designs we mostly use ICFs for foundations and basements. However there are many aplications where ICFs are a good fit.
