SIPs are the 21st Century Building Material:

Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high performance green building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB). SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective. Building with SIPs will save you time, money and labor.

SIPs come in panels as small as 4ft x 8ft and as large as 8ft x 24ft
They come in nominal thickness of:
4" R-16, 6" R-24, 8" R-32, 10" R-40, 12" R-48
when Expanded polystyrene is used in the core.
4" R- 24,  6" R- 42,  8" R- 56 when Polyurethane is used in the core.

Save Money With SIP

Labor Savings

A recent study by RS Means and BASF showed a 55% reduction in Labor using SIPs

Less Waste

Jobsite waste is reduced because the  panels come ready to assemble

Energy Efficiency

Easy50% energy savings over standard construction

Superior Quality

SIPs are designed on state-of-the-art 3D CAD software, are CNC cut, and are audited by a full time Quality Assurance staff. Also, SIPs, due to their balanced composition of OSB on the interior and exterior, are much straighter than conventional stick framing. The OSB skins of the panel are continuous and are an engineered product, therefore not as susceptible to “settling” that is common with stick framing. Finally, the SIPs production facilities and process is audited for quality by a certified third party inspection agency.
